Day 1 of SKELLIE-FEST & Skull Appreciation Day Blog Hop!

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Happy Skull Appreciation Day Portal Peeps and welcome to Day 1 of Lost Coast Portal to Creativity's 2nd annual

SKELLIE-FEST!

We are super excited to be playing in the annual Skull Appreciation Day blog hop hosted by Terra S of Smeared Ink fame again this year!  Today is also Day of 1 of our 2nd annual SKELLIE-FEST, a 10 day event, and everyone playing in this hop is invited to enter their projects in our SKELLIE-FEST linky party below for the chance to win a
$20 gift certificate to spend at Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda!

If you're doing the Skull Appreciation Day blog hop then you arrived here from Leigh aka Moi :0)  The blog hop roll is below today's project in case you get lost along the way and the SKELLIE-FEST link-up is at the bottom of this post!

LCDesigner Leigh here with a Skull and Skellie altered project to kick off our event today!
I found this unfinished wooden container in the craft section at Target and just loved the triangular sides.  The skulls I recycled from a Halloween decoration and used as feet finished it off nicely don't you think.  I love how it turned out!
I used Lost Coast Designs fabulous Skeleton and Roses and Skull Flourish stamps to alter this fun container but before stamping each panel with the skulls I first stamped our Long Swirl all over to add a subtle interest to the background as well as the open areas of the Skull Flourish.

We've got dozens of wicked cool skull and skeleton rubber stamps that you NEED in your collections..trust me, I'm a stamper ;0)  Click on the links and check them all out!
